[Vira-Lorr was concealing a smirk behind her hand as she started this off. she'd promised anonymity, so she wasn't going to say why this conversation was starting, but...]

How've you been doing, Sakura? We hadn't chatted in a bit and I wanted to check in on you. Make sure you were doing alright.

[ She'd been so busy setting things up at her wellness center that she probably has been failing to keep up with people the way she should be. But she greets Vira-Lorr with a smile, albeit a tired one. ]

I've been doing well, I'm continuing work on the center and hoping to get things really moving forward soon. [ She laughs. ] I have friends back home as well who keep an eye on me when I get too busy.

[ The next question is a bit confusing, but she'll roll with it. ]

Yes, I suppose it is. Not as bad as when I arrived. Not that I mind the winter, but I really like spring.

So, how are you doing?

Good to hear. It's important to have people watching out for you, even if you live alone. I believe, though, you live with Sasuke don't you? So you're not alone at least. Just don't let yourself get overworked. It's oh so easy to do that. So if you ever want to get together for an afternoon, one day? Let me know.

[She laughed softly and leaned back.]

I'm still trying to master the cycles of weather. It's so chilled and rainy for much of the year after all. But I can finally dress in lighter layers. It's nice to let the skin breathe. They wear too many layers.

I've been... well. I've been happy, actually. I'm hoping that someone is going to finally ask me a question one of these days soon. When she finally convinces herself how to do it perfectly.

Sasuke wasn't usually the sort to make a show out of holidays or birthdays, but with everything that had been going on, he felt like he ought to do more than just give Sakura a card. She'd been helping him with his corruption, patient with him during his more difficult moods, and her support had been unwavering as ever. He found himself admiring her emotional strength as much as he did her physical and a basic congratulations didn't seem like it was enough this time.

Especially after their... moment. It was something that had weighed heavily on his mind, but he wasn't quite sure how to broach the topic. There had been more emotional discussion in the span of that one night before he'd kissed her than there had likely been in the years of their knowing one another. He wasn't sure whether or not a gift might make things more or less awkward, but there was only one way to find out.

He had been told once about how blood could be used to make jewels in the place, ones that could be used for protection, and he had decided to do just that for her from the moment he'd found out about the possibility. The necklace had been carefully crafted for him in exchange for him taking care of a beast problem and it had seemed like more than a fair trade. Sasuke held the carefully wrapped box in his hand as he stood outside his own home, taking a deep breath, before he finally went to head up the stairs from the shop and into the apartment above.

With Melius still working downstairs, he knew that at least they might have some moments to themselves. He glanced around the common area, going to set down his bag, and keeping the box in his hand. He rubbed his thumb over it, almost nervously, before he cleared his throat to call out for her.

"Sakura...? Are you here?"

As of late, Sakura had been keeping herself busier, more so than normal. Part of that was because she was just so busy with everything at her clinic because she wanted to get it up and running as quickly as possible. The other piece of that though was that she'd needed a way to take her mind off of her feelings for Sasuke and the confusion of how close they'd come to becoming something more.

While Sakura was more than willing to take things to the next level, she wasn't sure what he wanted and was trying to figure it out. If he needed time to sort out his thoughts, she'd naturally provide it, but it wasn't easy to keep her own feelings close to her chest.

Either way, she'd been burning the candle at both ends and was pretty wiped out because of it. She was so tired that she'd pretty much forgotten that it was her birthday and when she'd realized it, she'd only given it a passing thought. She figured no one there really knew it was her birthday to do anything.

What she had done for herself was gift herself a break from work and a well deserved nap. She'd been asleep for awhile before she heard Sasuke calling her. "Upstairs," she called out to him as she sat up and gave a big yawn. She stretched and rubbed at her eyes to chase away the sleepiness of an afternoon nap.

Sasuke heads up to their rooms as he hears her voice and the sound of her starting to wake up. He opens the door a little slowly so that she can have time to tell him if she needs a second, before peaking inside. When he sees her stretching and clearly in the process of awakening, he steps in, sliding the door closed quietly behind him.

"I didn't mean to wake you," he says somewhat apologetically. Normally he would criticize people who slept in the middle of the afternoon, but he knows how hard she's been working, and he's sure that she's needed the rest more than most. He does wonder just how much of her work has been because of a want to finish and how much of it has been from avoidance, but he hasn't felt it his place to ask, as the King of Avoiding.

He's still playing with the present in his hands, before he goes to approach the futon. He glances at it briefly, likely recalling their last time in the same futon space, before he pushes the memory from his mind and holds the box out towards her. In his messy handwriting, he's scrolled on the wrapping paper: お誕生日おめでとう. Maybe it's a little formal of a version of happy birthday, but it is Sasuke.

[So... Sakura, if she had any clue that what she was doing was going to cause the infection of her friend's omni with a memory revealing virus that would cause all manner of trouble? She absolutely would have just sent a fruit basket. She really would have. But, alas, that little snippet of useful information, that Maul's omni had just infected a great many peoples' omnis with trouble? Not widely known.

Sakura. I was just hoping to check in and see how you've been holding up. Any luck setting up some of the therapy sessions you've been wanting to?

[ The renovation and set up of her clinic is well underway, almost done even. She's very proud of all the work she's put into it and hopeful that it will be a place that will really help the people of Trench. She's also looking forward to opening it. So initially she gets on the device and is cheerful. ]

It's going well! I'm certain I'll be able to open it up and let people in to use it soon. I'm already setting up training sessions so with luck I'll be able to educate people soon as well.

[ For the moment she remains blissfully unaware of the issues involving the omnis, then again she has been so busy with the clinic that she hasn't been on it much. ]

He would be grumpy about anything impractical. Certainly it's not expected, but I doubt he understands the importance of such traditions. It's traditional back home to give household gifts, a quilt or some cooking equipment might be nice.

Hey. My name's Robby, I've been training under Sasuke for a few months now to learn about chakra and using it. I'm a warmblood and I was interested in finding out how to use my blood's power to heal corruption or even healing? I've read about it but using blood or energy to do things like this is new to me. We can't really do the same stuff with our energy back home like Sasuke teaches.

He told me that you could give me some advice or might be able to help. I don't really have any medical knowledge. I know this isn't just chakra but I thought you might know if it's possible to work the two?
